Gary received a souvenier "Coin" from the Base Commander of MacDill AFB in appreciation for all the work that Project SOS did to collect these much needed supplies and to arrange to have them transported to MacDill AFB to be airlifted to Afghanistan.
On February 5, 2011, six tons of medical supplies and two tons of infant formula were shipped from MacDill AFB and on their way to LTC Spencer in Afghanistan.
